Shop Welder/Fabricator

We are seeking a Welder to join our team at Lardon Construction Corporation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reading and interpreting welding specifications, setting up and operating welding equipment, and fabricating and repairing metal structures or components. The Welder will work with a variety of materials and welding techniques to create high-quality products that meet safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate welding equipment and machinery, including MIG and stick welders
• Fabricate and repair metal structures and components using welding techniques
• Perform inspections of welded products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards
• Operate hand and power tools to cut, shape, and bend metal as needed
• Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
• Read and interpret welding specifications

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a vocational or technical welding program preferred
• Knowledge of MIG and stick welding techniques
• Ability to follow welding specifications and ask questions when unsure
• Familiarity with welding safety procedures and guidelines (follows instructions)
• Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift heavy objects for extended periods of time
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Good communication and team player
• Reliable, motivated, safety oriented
